A Âé¶čAV RCMP police cruiser was stuffed to the brim with gifts for children in need after a successful fundraiser over the weekend of Dec. 7.

A total of 924 unwrapped toys and $1849 will be gifted to families in the Central Okanagan this holiday season from the annual Stuff the Cruiser fundraiser events that were held in Âé¶čAV, West Âé¶čAV and Lake Country.

“Every year it’s incredible to see the community support,” says Reserve Constable Mike Kube of the Âé¶čAV RCMP.

“Thank you to everyone who donated. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated, especially in this economic climate.”

The Âé¶čAV RCMP will also be at the Âé¶čAV Rockets game on Saturday, Dec. 14, for the annual Teddy Bear Toss.

When the Rockets score their first goal, an RCMP vehicle will lead the trucks onto the ice to collect the teddy bears and bring them to Âé¶čAV General Hospital for kids.
