The City of Âé¶čAV encourages residents to embrace pedal power during GoByBike Week.
The province-wide initiative asks people to ditch their vehicles for cycling, scootering, or even rollerblading for daily commutes and errands.
From June 3 to 9, Âé¶čAV residents are invited to explore the city on two wheels or alternative means of transportation.
Âé¶čAVâs commitment to promoting alternate transportation includes an extensive network of bike lanes and multi-use paths, totaling approximately 400 kilometers.
âBiking is a fun way to get outdoors and stay active, itâs also an affordable transportation option that can help you save money,â said Suzanne Therrien, transportation planner.
By registering for free at , participants can log the number of kilometers they bike each day throughout the week.
Every ride logged enters individuals and teams into a draw for locally sponsored and province-wide prizes.
The grand prize is a cycling adventure in Italy, sponsored by Exodus Adventure Travels.
