The City of Âé¶čAV wants input from residents on Manhattan Point Park.
Recommendations to identify uses, priorities and aesthetic options for the site are being sought.
âManhattan Point Park is an important location for the neighbourhood and for the city as a whole.,â said Melanie Steppuhn, park and landscape planner.
The park was closed in 2017 due to flood damage. Improvements include safe public access to the waterfront, improving shoreline stabilization, and environmental benefits.
A concept design is expected to be completed later this year.
Residents can provide comment through a digital survey until Sunday, August 4. There is also a âwalkshopâ to connect with the project team at the park on Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
âWe want residents to share how they envision using the space and what theyâd like prioritized within the design,â Steppuhn added. âThrough engagement, the community has a unique opportunity to influence the concept design and the future of this site.â
