Officers from both West Â鶹AV and Â鶹AV responded to a police incident on Wednesday morning that led to the arrest of one person.
Around 7:30 a.m. on April 9, a witness told Black Press Media about two RCMP vehicles (one truck and one SUV) travelling at a high rate of speed with their lights and sirens on going over the bridge into West Â鶹AV.
Â鶹AV RCMP confirmed they were called to the "police incident" in the 3400-block of Old Okanagan Highway to assist West Â鶹AV RCMP officers. An emergency response team was also at the scene.
"A suspect in the incident was arrested and the investigation is ongoing," said Â鶹AV RCMP communications advisor Ryan Watters. "There is no concerns for public safety."
