Feel the music with Mariya Stokes as she comes to West Â鶹AV's Crown and Thieves Winery.

The Alberta-born singer will be performing at the winery's Broken Hearts Club on June 26, alongside local award-winning country singer Ben Klick.

"Ben and I met when we were almost teenagers. We were in a country music competition called Global Country Star Search and Ben actually won first place in that competition," Stokes said, noting she was runner-up. "It's pretty cool that so many years later that community we started to build so young is still active and we're still doing this music thing."

The two-time winner of Country Music Alberta's Female Artist of the Year saw her career really take off with her viral single 'F*** Pretty.'

"That song, I was almost afraid of it I think, because of the swear word and the title," Stokes said. "I had shown it to my grandma and she's not a big fan of swearing, she doesn't like the f-word, but she thinks it's ok for me to sing this song because of the message. I think getting that message out there and seeing it resonate with people has been pretty incredible because who we are on the inside is much more important than how we look on the outside to me."

Stokes' show will feature music from her debut album Mood Ring.

The record is really a spectrum of emotions and sonically different colours," she said.

for the show can be purchased online. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
