Peachland will be rocking around the Christmas tree for a good cause on Friday (Dec. 13) night.
A group of residents called the Peachland Angels, in partnership with Peachland Elementary, is raising money to help local families in need this Christmas. The Edgewater Bar & Grill on Beach Avenue will host the Peachland Christmas Wish event, featuring the acoustic classic rock duo The Boogie Men and special guests The Geezer Pleazers.
“It’s $30 a ticket, which includes the famous Edge Burger and a beverage of choice,” said co-organizer Farid Nouisser.
Most of the proceeds will go toward providing a brighter holiday season for several Peachland area families, Nouisser explained. “We are also raffling prizes so that we can generate some more money and hopefully help more families.”
He added that many local businesses have donated prizes for the raffle. “Everyone is pitching in. Charity starts at home, so that’s what we’re doing this Christmas.”
