Cultures collided in Salmon Arm with a celebration of diversity at the annual Gathering Together Festival on Canadian Multicultural Day.
On Friday, June 27, the Ross Street Plaza became a world map with booths representing Ethiopia, Trinidad, Switzerland, Columbia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Mexico, Ukraine, India, Nepal and Turkey, as well as local organizations and community partners to promote inclusivity.
Vendors, live music, traditional cuisines and educational games for kids came together to educate and highlight the different cultures blending together in the community that welcomes all in the Small City, Big Ideas.
