The crisp, cold water of Okanagan Lake provided a fresh start to the new year for hundreds of Â鶹AV residents on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Many in attendance gathered at Tugboat Beach in Waterfront Park for the 10th annual Polar Bear Dip, which took place at 2 p.m.
The event is organized by Community Recreational Initiatives Society (CRIS) Adaptive. Everyone who took place in the plunge donated $15 to the non-profit, which raised money for inclusive outdoor recreation for people of all abilities.
People in attendance who didn't swim also donated. At this time, the total money raised is unknown.
