A brand-new hospitality business has opened its doors in downtown Penticton.
The White Raven Pub is welcoming guests after moving into the site of what used to be the Cellar Wine Bar and Kitchen, located at 412 Main St.
In a social media post on May 16, the Cellar's owners announced they had sold their business to a new group.
"Rather than just close the doors and shutter another Main Street business, new owners have come in with a combined three-quarters of a century of experience in the hospitality business, with a vision for the Main Street location," their post reads.
The new owners, who describe the White Raven as a neighbourhood pub, say the location will be open from Tuesday to Saturday for the time being, as they continue the transition of taking over the spot.
"We are planning on opening on Sundays and Mondays in the very near future," reads a social media post from the new owners.
The White Raven Pub food menu will include Cellar Wine Bar and Kitchen favourites and new items, too, they also said.
Events like music bingo and trivia will also be featured, they added.
